Advantages with "Resent-" ------------------------ It is simpler, which is of special advantage for messages forwarded to mail servers, which have to be more complex if they are to look into embedded content objects. It is better supported by existing mail software, especially mail server software and software for writing replies to received messages replying. Some existing software wrongly behaves as if all MIME content types except the first one are attachments, which only are to be shown after a special ommand from the user to view attachments. Advantages with "Content-Type: Message/RFC822" ---------------------------------------------- It allows the forwarding user to add a comment before or after the forwarded message. It allows forwarding of forwarded messages recursively. It allows forwarding of more than one message in a single new message with multiple content objects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jacob Palme (Stockholm University and KTH) for more info see URL: http://www.dsv.su.se/~jpalme
