In the Oct 4 issue there is an article on front page on Microsoft and telecom. There it is reported that Microsoft: "The company said yesterday that it will team with seven public network operators - GTE, Hongkong Telecom, MCI, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, Pacific Bell, Telefonica and US West - to develop and enhance Internet standards. The goal is to provide a framework for new business and consumer services; however, Microsoft provided no details on what form the services and standards might take, or when they might be available." I think the future for IETF will be interesting/thrilling/problematic! Regards Sven Tafvelin
