I have no objection to the concept of using RFC 822 header fields for envelope information, as we've discussed before. However, it would be very strange for this information to affect response targets. Example: You send a message to drums@cs.utk.edu and ietf-822@imc.org. I receive it from drums with the drums List-* fields in my drums mailbox. I also receive it from ietf-822 with the ietf-822 List-* fields in my ietf-822 mailbox. Should my followup target depend on where I see the message? Btw, the current version of mutt will automatically add Mail-Followup-To: drums@cs.utk.edu, ietf-822@imc.org so followups will go to exactly the right addresses. ---Dan Put an end to fake mailing list subscriptions. http://pobox.com/~djb/ezmlm.html
