BAD MSG:
impossibility. It is  technically impossible to gateway  Internet to most
AN mail products and follow all  the standards. So it becomes a business
decision (functionality vs standards), not a technical decision. Speaking
for at least some  of the vendors I've spoken with, if  they could do it,
they would. They've asked me what I would do if I were them and some have
made a few changes that have improved things somewhat. If they could just
write another 5000 lines of code  and remove the problem, they would, but
they can't. We're  talking about major design changes that  can't be done
overnight, whereas people want Internet access now.
