Subject: SMTP draft / Dallas agenda

The Dallas IETF meeting is fast approaching, and DRUMS has two 
meetings scheduled.   

I'd like us to spend one of those meetings reviewing the new 
SMTP Internet-Draft.  If you haven't read it yet, please
do so and send any comments to the list.  (I would like to
think that the SMTP revisions would be less controversial 
than any changes we might want to make to 822, but I hadn't
expected complete silence!)

Some people had suggested that we would make better progress
once we had a draft to bash on...now's our chance.

The ID of the draft is : draft-ietf-drums-smtpupd-00.txt

I want us to spend the other meeting talking about 822-related
issues, in a more general sense than discussing changes we might 
make to specific headers.  I'll be drafting an agenda shortly.  
If you have suggestions for what we should talk about (or how
we can make progress), send them to me.
