My understanding was (from reading the grammar, not the text
necessarily) that several fields are mandatory, aside from
Received (which is in the text).

Those include Message-ID, Date, From, and at least one recipient
field (the latter was the subject of some discussion, the outcome
of which I have forgotten, but I hope it was to delete the recipient
field requirement).
