Hmm. I wish I could now remember what client it was that caused me to change Exim. There certainly *was* a problem, and I remember being cross about it when I added the following to Exim's ChangeLog: 67. It seems there are sites that send only LF instead of CRLF in their SMTP transactions, and that smail and sendmail can handle them. Relax Exim's constraints so as to run with the herd.
