Don Park thinks Echo should adopt Blogger+MetaWeblog as Echo API 1.0 and carefully extend it. I doubt this will happen because it's not compatible with Echo's ConceptualModel, it's very difficult to extend without breakage, and it doesn't provide any forward motion.
