(e) Kahle v. Ashcroft

Disney Movies

originally submitted by Adrian Townsend:

Disney puts their movies 'into the vault' for 20 years to use copyright to boost the value of the movies. Copyright allows them to retain the movies and not publish them to the public

Stifled uses

Adrian Townsend:

I have just given birth to a son and I'd like to collect and show him some classic disney movies I can't get anywhere

Michael Brown:

While annoying, Disney moritorium is NOT 20 years. In fact, most of their classic animated movies are on DVD, or will shortly be. They are improving on getting some of their older, classic live action movies out on DVD.
