(e) Kahle v. Ashcroft

Dance to the Piper

originally submitted by Brian W. Carver:

by Agnes de Mille as well as Blood Memory, The Notebooks of Martha Graham, and Martha: The Life of Martha Graham (each by Martha Graham) are just a few of the monumental books in the world of Dance that are out of print yet locked-up under (C). The Chronicle of Higher Education wrote about this on 8/16/2002, available w/ subscription here: http://chronicle.com/prm/weekly/v48/i49/49b01201.htm

Stifled uses

Brian W. Carver:

Dance Instructors everywhere are finding it impossible to teach their classes because all of the best Dance books are out of print and copyright-holders won't reprint them. The Chronicle of Higher Ed article provides many more details. It was written by Mindy Aloff who teaches dance history and criticism at Barnard College.
